I have worked primarily in the ER for most of my 15 years in nursing. I am currently a SANE and a holistic nurse coach.
I could charge a whole department like a pro, yet I would go berserk if I couldn’t find my pen. Everyone around me coped with dark humor and happy hour. I tried that too.
I thought non-clinical roles would fix me. They just transferred the stress.
